Overview
Evenofy lets organisations run events end to end: public registration forms, paid tickets, printed and emailed badges, multi-point check-in, campaigns and analytics, with each organiser working in an isolated workspace.
How it is built
What I built
- Top committer in a 6-person team; wrote the architecture, status and team-split documents that divided the work.
- Built the dynamic registration form builder, publishing flow and tenant-scoped public registration with email OTP.
- Built QR badges (scan, print, PDF and email), multi-scope check-in and booth access.
- Built the super-admin console with Paystack workspace subscriptions, and set up CI plus SSH/PM2 continuous deployment.
Architecture
- Next.js frontend (English, French, Portuguese) on an Express and TypeScript API with Prisma over PostgreSQL.
- Swappable email and SMS providers behind one communications pipeline; Socket.IO for live updates.
- Vitest and supertest suites run in GitHub Actions before every deploy.
Key decisions
Forms as data
Registration fields are stored as a schema per participant type, so organisers build forms without a developer and the API validates against the same schema.
Provider-swappable messaging
Email and SMS sit behind one interface, so switching a provider is configuration, not a rewrite.
Challenges
Six developers working in parallel on one product.
Split the system into owned modules with written boundaries and a shared status page, so each person shipped without blocking the others.
